My roommates and I always say how we wish we had a sink in our dorm room. It is always a pain to have to walk back and forth to the bathroom to either brush our teeth or spill something out. With this new product, this small contraption is space efficient and easy to use. Since dorm rooms are not conducive to rearranging, this portable sink does not need to be connected to any water source in order to work. It's that easy.
In these times, social media is a large put of all businesses. Whether its to advertise, connect with consumers, or to provide instant news, it is an essential part of either making or breaking a product or service. Many businesses use social media websites such as twitter, to promote their brand, provide customer service, and also to provide an ear to their consumers. We would use various social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook, to create attention towards our product.
The great thing about these social networking sites is that you can target your product towards a certain market. For example, our product is targeting towards college students who live in dorms. Through Facebook we can post links on different college groups as well as specifically find people who might be interested in our product. Something to look for are people who would be graduating in the year of 2014 or 2015, because its mostly freshman and sophomores that live in dorms.
In addition to social networking sites helping us promote our brand, they also give us a platform to receive comments and criticism. This criticism is important in helping us make our product the best it can be. We want to show our consumers that we listen to what they are saying, and that we use it to make the product better. Pictures are also a factor when it comes to social media. There are millions of photos shared on Facebook and Twitter daily and this would allow us to upload all the different models of the portable sink which allows viewers to browse through them. Overall, social media definitely contributes to the success of a product.
